McCook Kitchen Knife Set, 15-PC German Stainless Steel Knives
A built-in sharpener folded into the storage block is the real differentiator here — it means edge maintenance doesn't require a separate tool or a trip to a sharpening service. German high-carbon stainless steel blades are tarnish- and rust-resistant, and McCook checks each set at least five times before shipping.
The taper grind edge is built for precise cutting and easy re-sharpening, and ergonomic handles keep extended use comfortable. Fifteen pieces cover the full range — chef, slicing, santoku, utility, and paring knives, plus six steak knives and two pairs of kitchen shears — all stored safely in one hardwood block.
A few things about this item:
- 15-piece set: chef, slicing, santoku, serrated utility, utility, and paring knives, 6 steak knives, 2 pairs of shears, and block
- German high-carbon stainless steel, tarnish and rust resistant
- Built-in sharpener in the hardwood block
- Taper grind edge for precision and easy re-sharpening
- Quality-checked at least 5 times before shipping
Why we picked it: A genuinely built-in sharpener means edge upkeep is part of the storage block itself, not a separate purchase or chore.
Best for: Home cooks who want a full 15-piece knife set with convenient built-in sharpening.
Worth knowing:
- As with most high-carbon steel knives, hand washing helps these keep their edge and finish longer
- The built-in sharpener maintains edge sharpness between deeper sharpening sessions
Reasons to consider it:
- Built-in sharpener removes the need for a separate sharpening tool
- Includes two pairs of shears, more than most comparable sets
- German steel construction with a taper grind edge for precision
Specifications:
