American Lawn Mower Company 1204-14 14-Inch 4-Blade Push Reel Lawn Mower, Red
The American Lawn Mower Company 1204-14 Push Reel Mower cuts with a genuine scissor-like action across 4 blades, avoiding the tearing and shredding that rotary blades can cause. That cleaner cut suits cool-season grasses like bluegrass, fescue, and rye particularly well, producing a genuinely neater, healthier-looking lawn.
At just 19 pounds, it's light enough for easy pushing, lifting, and storage, with zero gas, oil, cords, or fumes involved. Adjustable cutting height between 0.5" and 1.75" lets you dial in the finish, and with no engine to maintain, upkeep is limited to occasional blade sharpening every few years.
A few things about this item:
- 14" cutting width, 4-blade reel
- 19 lbs, manual push operation
- Adjustable cutting height, 0.5" to 1.75"
- 8.5" polymer wheels
- Red finish
Why we picked it: Genuine scissor-like cutting action avoids the tearing rotary blades cause, in a lightweight 19 lb manual mower with zero emissions or fuel.
Best for: Small yards with cool-season grass wanting genuine eco-friendly, low-maintenance mowing.
Worth knowing:
- Best suited to grass kept relatively short and mowed frequently, rather than tall, wet, or overgrown lawns
