Smeg Refrigerator, FAB28 50's Retro Style Aesthetic Top Freezer Fridge - White
Most refrigerators are designed to disappear into the kitchen; the Smeg FAB28 is designed to be looked at. Its retro 1950s-inspired curves and rounded edges make it a genuine style statement, standing out in kitchens that want personality rather than another flat stainless panel.
Underneath the vintage-inspired exterior sits genuinely modern refrigeration technology, including a multi-flow cooling system that circulates cold air more evenly than older single-vent designs. Made in Italy, it carries the fit and finish expected of a design-forward European appliance rather than a mass-market retro knockoff.
A few things about this item:
- 50's retro-inspired design with rounded curves
- 9.92 cu ft total capacity
- Multi-flow cooling system
- Adjustable glass shelving
- Made in Italy
Why we picked it: It's a genuine design statement with real modern refrigeration performance underneath, not just a nostalgic shell around basic cooling technology.
Best for: Kitchens wanting a distinctive design centerpiece rather than a refrigerator that blends into the background.
Worth knowing:
- At 9.92 cu ft, capacity is smaller than a standard full-size refrigerator — better suited as a secondary fridge or smaller household
- Left-hand hinge configuration — confirm this fits your kitchen layout before ordering
Reasons to consider it:
- Genuine design statement piece, not just a retro-look sticker on a standard fridge
- Multi-flow cooling delivers real, even temperature performance
- Made in Italy with design-forward European build quality
