Six Colors, One Room

The palette borrows from late-autumn materials rather than Halloween orange: oat linen, natural jute, walnut, saddle leather, deep olive, and a single note of burnt orange. Each color appears in at least two places in the room, which is what makes the space feel cohesive rather than collected.

Start With the Rug

A Sofa That Works in Every Season

The sofa is the largest piece in the room, so it should be the calmest. An oatmeal linen sofa gives you a soft, warm-neutral canvas: it lets cognac, olive, and rust pillows glow in autumn, and it will take lighter linens just as easily in spring.
